This privacy policy applies to multiple mobile applications with similar offline outdoor tracking functionality (e.g., running and cycling apps).


2. General Information
The applications operate without user accounts and without any backend infrastructure operated by the controller.

Processing of personal data is limited to what is technically necessary for providing the core functionality of the application.


3. Location Data (GPS)
The applications process GPS location data to calculate distance, speed, and activity statistics.

All processing takes place exclusively on the user’s device. No location data is transmitted to the controller or third parties.


4. Local Data Storage
All application data is stored locally on the user’s device only. No server-side storage or synchronization is performed.

Data is deleted upon uninstalling the application.


5. Third-Party Services
The applications use services provided by Google LLC (Ireland/USA):

  • Firebase Analytics
  • Firebase Crashlytics

These services process pseudonymous usage data, including:

  • app usage events
  • device and system information
  • crash and diagnostic data

Google acts as an independent data controller for these processing activities. No raw personally identifiable data is accessed by the developer.

6. Map Services
The applications may load map tiles from OpenStreetMap.

Technical connection data (e.g., IP address) may be processed by the map provider when requesting map content.


7. Legal Basis (GDPR)
Where personal data is processed, it is based on:

  • Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR – provision of application functionality
  • Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR – legitimate interest in stability, security, and improvement of the application

8. Data Recipients & Transfers
Recipients may include the service providers listed above (Google LLC, OpenStreetMap providers).
Where applicable, data transfers to third countries may occur under appropriate safeguards pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).
